Terms of Use & Digital License
Brian Kennedy Learning · Version 2026-10-11
These learning boundaries apply to the current tools. The refund window and duration of online access have not yet been specified; see the open purchase-policy details below.
Terms of use and digital license
Brian Kennedy Learning (BKL) is Brian Kennedy’s educational platform. These terms cover BKL lessons, articles, videos when available, exercises, workbooks, and other learning materials. Purchasing or redeeming access requires an affirmative acknowledgment of the current terms. Public articles remain available without a purchase. These terms do not change a separate therapy or supervision agreement.
Authorship and intellectual property
Eligible original expression and the original selection and arrangement of BKL materials are protected to the extent applicable law provides. BKL does not claim ownership of established theories, ideas, methods, facts, or frameworks such as IFS, attachment theory, differentiation, or interpersonal neurobiology. Third-party and coauthored materials retain their respective rights and credits. The use of AI assistance does not establish that every element is copyrightable. No trademark registration or exclusive ownership of a clinical method is asserted here.
What your educational license permits
A purchase or authorized complimentary access grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the included materials for your own personal or professional education, subject to the access terms below. You may read, download, and print provided downloads for your own use, keep your completed reflections, and apply learned principles in your life or professional practice using your own judgment and words. You may share a link to a public article and choose to share your own reflections. An exercise expressly inviting joint participation may be used by the participating couple; this does not authorize distributing the curriculum.
Unless a particular resource expressly permits it, obtain written permission before reproducing or distributing BKL worksheets to clients, teaching from copied materials, or including BKL content in another course. Do not resell, republish, bulk copy, distribute course files, remove credits, or share account credentials to bypass access controls. These restrictions do not eliminate fair use or other rights and exceptions available under applicable law.
AI use and automated extraction
Do not upload or extract BKL course materials for model training or fine-tuning, bulk scraping, or the creation of competing or derivative teaching materials without written permission. Permission to apply learned ideas is not permission to reproduce the curriculum. Ordinary accessibility tools and authorized personal copies are permitted. Your own reflections belong to you; consider privacy before sharing them with any external AI service. This clause does not assert a technical ability to prevent all copying or control independently developed ideas.
Misuse and available remedies
BKL may restrict access for a material breach of these license terms, subject to applicable law. Where practical, BKL will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it. Any refund decision remains subject to applicable law and the published purchase policy; this is not an automatic forfeiture clause. BKL may seek remedies legally available in a particular case. No fixed penalty, liquidated-damages amount, guaranteed injunction, or guaranteed statutory-damages award is established by these terms.
New versions apply to future acknowledgments; posting a revision does not itself establish acceptance of new material restrictions by earlier purchasers. For permission or purchase questions, use Customer support. Review the separate Educational and clinical-use disclaimer.
What this service provides
For adults 18 and older. These clinically informed resources aim to deepen self-understanding, expand emotional and relational capacities, and support meaningful change through guided reflection and everyday practice. They provide educational support, not diagnosis, individualized treatment, or emergency support. Purchasing or using them does not by itself establish a therapist–client relationship. Existing therapy arrangements remain governed by their separate agreements. Responses are not individually reviewed by a clinician.
BKL provides educational materials. No purchase includes therapy, personal clinical feedback, professional certification, or continuing-education credit. If your therapist suggests a module, discuss how it fits your separate care agreement.
Understanding reports
Original educational reflection tools to support self-understanding and a meaningful starting point; not standardized psychological tests or diagnostic instruments. Reports summarize your answers in one context. Numbers, bands, and maps are descriptive conventions, not clinical cutoffs, population percentiles, measures of nervous-system function, or proof of childhood experiences. Small differences or changes do not establish clinical improvement. Do not use a report to diagnose another person or as the sole basis for treatment or major relationship decisions.
Suggested learning priorities are automated from answers, not a clinician’s treatment recommendation. You may disagree with a result or choose another focus. Research-informed concepts do not establish the validity of these particular questionnaires or effectiveness of this curriculum.
Choice and safety
Choose ordinary, manageable experiences. You may skip, adapt, or stop any activity, keep your eyes open, and use an external point of attention instead of focusing on your body. No traumatic-memory exploration, forced disclosure, or particular feeling is required. Stop if you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or less able to function; seek appropriate professional support. There is no required pace or guaranteed outcome.
Joint work requires freely chosen participation and safety. Do not use joint exercises where there are threats, coercion, intimidation, violence, or fear of retaliation; seek confidential individual support instead. A shared pattern does not mean equal responsibility for harm. You need not share answers, accept touch, forgive, reconcile, or return to unsafe contact. Boundaries coexist with accountability and legitimate responsibilities.
This website is not monitored for emergencies. In the United States, call 911 for immediate danger or call or text 988 for crisis support. Elsewhere, contact local emergency or crisis services.
Purchases and access
Assessments and the introductory orientation are free. Each available learning module costs $19.99 USD as a one-time purchase, with no subscription. A complete pathway costs $79 USD and includes all five modules in that pathway, their lessons, exercises, and downloadable workbooks. Other pathways are separate. Earlier individual purchases are not credited toward a pathway purchase. Individual purchases include only the selected module. Clinical reviewers may redeem a complimentary code for all current modules without payment.
Sign in with the same account to return to purchased content. Paid online access depends on a verified payment; refunded purchases do not unlock a module. Save a workbook on a trusted device to retain your personal copy. Downloaded notes are not backed up in your account.
Purchase-policy details awaiting confirmation: a refund window, duration of online access, and policy for revised or withdrawn modules have not yet been published. No lifetime-access promise is made. Please use Customer support to ask about these details before purchasing.
Privacy and acknowledgment
Review Privacy & use and the separate Consumer health data notice. A checkout acknowledgment records the version and time alongside a purchase attempt. It does not authorize collecting assessment answers, establish informed consent for therapy, or waive your legal rights.
Influences and authorship
Mentors, consultants, theories, and readings are acknowledged as influences, not as sponsors or endorsers of these tools. This original BKL curriculum translates clinically informed ideas into guided reflection and everyday practice. It is independently developed and is not an official IFS, AEDP, Bowen, or Allan Schore assessment or treatment program.
Articles retain their named authors and publication credits. A mentor reference or link does not grant permission to reproduce another author’s work. Client stories and identifying details should not be submitted through this site.
For therapists using these materials
Use professional judgment and appropriate consent when incorporating an exercise into care. These tools do not assess suitability, risk, diagnosis, or treatment response for you. Do not require clients to buy a module or share a report as a condition of receiving care.
Nothing on this page is a promise of a clinical outcome or an attempt to remove rights that applicable law protects.
